Add a Tab to manage Metadata Comparison Filter
Add a menu item or tab where we can
1. Share, delete, edit names of the custom Metadata Comparison Filters.
2. See the comparison history, who used the filter and when in team etc.4 votes -
Create a pop-up warning when on the Selected Items tab before you can deselect all items
Without the Undo feature, there is the odd time (nightmare situation) where you haven't saved your compare and are on the Selected Items tab and accidentally deselect all items. It would be great to get warned that all work will be lost unless it's saved or the deselect action is canceled.

Test salesforce connections in mass to highlight which need to be re-authorized
Having a way to monitor/test all salesforce connections in mass to then highlight which need to be re-authorized would be helpful instead of catching them when preparing to do a comparison.

Retrieve Metadata into local environment (e.g. using VSCode pluging)
This would make the integration of Version Control and Gearset nicer. Where now user has to go to Gearset deploy to a feature branch, afterwards, go to VSCode pull from the feature branch.

Rolling back deployment made by CI JOB
Currently it is possible to roll back a deployment made by CI Job, though that rollback will only be performed to the specified Org. Hence, other Orgs have to be rolled back individually.
Use case: I have propagated changed from my Sandbox to Staging. An issue was identified that requires a substantial amount of work where that feature cannot be included in the next deployment to production, hence it needs to be removed from Staging. Though, other sandboxes back propagated that feature because they assumed it should work.
It would be amazing if the rollback used Github commits, so the…

Add More Granular Control over Email Notifications
Allow users to enable/disable categories of email notifications at the user level. E.g. success emails for monitoring jobs, deploy succeeded/failed emails, etc.
Alternatively, or possibly in addition, allow users to "mass-edit" job notification settings, so we don't have to edit each one individually.

UI Change: On any pop-up page using Source Control, auto-expand to show Create Branch button
On a monitor job (and probably elsewhere), clicking "Deploy To" and then selecting Version Control target, you get a default branch, typically master. If you click the link to Create a new Branch from Master - you input the name of your new branch, but the Create Branch button is hidden below the display and you need to scroll down to show it. The Start Comparison button is where the Create Branch button should be, so you end up starting your comparison instead of creating the branch first. Suggesting to change the pop-out window to expand to show both buttons…

Approval process for metadata deployment
It would be great to have a approval process for the deployment.
For example, once we have completed the comparison and validation, we can click a button "e.g.: Submit for Approval" and an email will be sent to a list of email.
In the email, receiver can review the summary of the deployment (e.g.: source org, target org, number of changed/new/deleted components, ...) and click on a link to approve or reject the deployment.
We can deploy only when the job is approved.4 votes -

Automatic Validation of Pull request for AWS code commit
Gearset does not support PR validation for AWS code commit. We are cloud-native and use AWS extensively, thus missing out on most important feature of gearset. If you can support it it will be amazing and lifesaver for us.

Archiving and restore process
Data archiving for storing records that can be easily accessed when marked as archived at an off-premise location. A backup and restore would be overkill when there is a need to store only partial records or a combination of fields from records in different objects. Restoring to a new object that does not interfere with existing objects would be ideal.

Delta only validation CI jobs
Idea is to have the Delta CI for Validation only Job, so the as well, so the validation process will become faster .
The option of validating a PR in the deployment job does the same task, but is comparing too many items of metadata and it is taking too long.

New Feature: Filter Custom Fields (and other sub-components) in Comparison Filters
I'd like to be able to exclude certain custom fields from my comparison.
For example we have fields that have environmental differences between orgs that we don't want to deploy. There are also random fields on standard objects that show up as "different" even though they aren't and it would be nice to filter them out.

Ability to recreate a reusable list or group for Deployment notifications
Every week we have a larger sized scheduled deployment for logic updates that runs after business hours. There's usually the same 2-6 people (often increasing) that want to receive an email and/or text message when the deployment succeeds. Whoever schedules the deployment has to add each one manually every time, and it would be nice to have a way to send notifications to a predefined list or group of email addresses and/or phone numbers.
It usually has to be the person that schedules the deployment, because if someone goes back to add their own email or phone to an already…

Add to draft deployment as you build
Ideally I'd be able to add metadata to a draft from within salesforce - via a chrome addon maybe?

Easier way to exclude multiple named items in the metadata filter.
In the metadata filter named items, I want to exclude 10 named items. Currently I have to use the "exclude" Object name button 10 times. I want to tick all the 10 named items, that currently allow to include, and click a button to turn them into "exclude" in the named items.

Select All Option in Deployment history
It would be nice if we have the select all option in the deployment history to select multiple packages to combine in one go and deploy as one package into target.
2 votesThis is now possible as long as a filter is applied to the deployment history page.

Change the Metadata Filters and make them first class
I would like to see a change to the metadata filtering in general.
Filter management has become a important part of our devops process as we seek to lower our comparison timing.
Instead of having it at the bottom corner of the compare screen, move that section to the middle of the compare screen.
In addition, add a side bar specifically for filters that allows you to edit or delete them as well as change the sharing between personal and team. I have example screenshots for suggested layout changes here: https://faef.box.com/s/frse8jnvqsxbl8ue05x641j3wlga1quy5 votes -
Gearset Scratch Orgs: Generate Passwords
Our team would like an enhancement to how Gearset handles generating scratch orgs from authorized Dev Hubs. We want to be able to provide log-in credentials to non-gearset users in order for them to use these scratch orgs and perform development work.
We want our deployment manager (gearset user) to manage the provisioning of scratch orgs and the retrieval of changes in these orgs to source control. Our developers currently just focus on developing features and are abstracted from the complexities of the deployment process.
To make this process a lot simpler for our deployment managers, it would great to…
